Who Pays For A Bridal Shower?
I am the Maid of Honor at my sister’s wedding and it is my understanding that the MOH and the bridesmaids throw the bride a bridal shower, that we are the hosts.
The shower is at one of the bridesmaids house and we already have planned games and the kind of food we want to have. But my concern is who pays for what. Because I am the MOH do I have to pay for the food, decorations, favors, plates, cups, etc. all by myself? Or because the other bridesmaids are helping with the plans and probably will help with the set up, should they help pay for some of the food and decorations?
Is it rude to ask the bridesmaids what they wish to pay for if it is right for them to help pay? I work part time so I can’t afford everything on my own. There are 3 bridesmaids and me, all who are older than me.
you should all pitch in together and pay for it. if you are all planning it together then you should all chip in. I know I wouldnt want to be paying for a shower that the other bridesmaids will be attending and eating and drinking and not chipping in. I would make a list of expenses next time you are all together and then divide it all up in terms of cost.
