How long did you book your wedding photographer for?
I’m looking at a very reasonable photographer who I know does excellent work (they did my best friend’s sister’s wedding). I’m about to book, but I noticed that they have packages by the hour. They have options from 1-7 hours, obviously getting more pricey as the time increases.
How long did you have your photographers for? Does it get awkward if they’re around the entire day? Did you wish they were present longer? Shorter? If you don’t mind me asking, what did you pay?

We used 2 photo groups- Church and the scenic park were done by a pro wedding guy. Then he was done. The reception which was a hellacious party – (we even did a change of clothes, replaced band w dj, and announcement at mid point (11pm) that the party is about to crank up. For the reception we hired two aspiring photo students that had some experience – they got “wanted posters” targeted guests and were told only candid shots – no posing. Kept the party flowing.
